StoneCast was conceived by Kristefor Lysne and Jordan Wiklund on a plane returning from the Hogline 500 bonspiel in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the spring of 2016. Intended to foster and grow the Twin Cities curling community, look for StoneCast to cover curlers, bonspiels, curling club staff and events, and more.

Kristefor Lysne

Kristefor Lysne

Kristefor Lysne became interested in curling after watching it at the Boston Pizza in Fort Frances, Ontario in the winter of 2013. He plays in two Saint Paul Curling Club leagues (Sunday 6/8 and Tuesday Open 7/9).

Jordan Wiklund

Jordan Wiklund

Jordan Wiklund began curling in 2010. When he noticed the St. Paul Curling Club was looking for stories and photos for a 2012 Centennial anniversary book, Wiklund introduced himself to the staff as a would-be curler and career writer and book editor. He curls in the Friday mixed league.

The StoneCast logo and design are complements of Ben Matheson, Yukon Correspondent and Anchorage-area Insider.

Ben cut his teeth in media at Luther College, working long, thankless hours next to Jordan on The Luther Review. Since then, he’s been around the horn but has lately called Alaska his home, working for Alaska Public Radio and other media. (He also studies geospatial and remote sensing technology, which is pretty badass). Ben is from Albert Lea, Minnesota.

He’s really into maps and graphics and generally creates his own shit. See more at www.benmatheson.com.
